why SF nerf fails
go ahead say it "oh no another QQ over SF nerf" don't care. (only posting here cuz anet seemed to read all the bs people write on here so why not this)

"We are not opposed to players using Shadow Form for farming, but it is not good for the game economy for high-end farming activities to become too easy or too efficient. The new set of builds enabled by Shadow Form did exactly that." "we have not made it more difficult to maintain Shadow Form permanently, because this would be more likely to remove Shadow Form farming as an option for many players. We will, however, continue to monitor the effects of these changes moving forward and will make further changes if necessary"
well more changes are needed because you have removed Shadow Form as a farming choice for most players, which was what you weren't trying to do?
I am all for the nerf of the uw farm, but you have not done that completely, all that the nerf did is eliminate everything but ecto farming as a choice for people that want to farm with a Shadow Form build.

You can still farm whatever, it's just not as fast and easy. Before the nerf it was ridiculously fast and easy, now it is not. It's as simple as that.

ya i know nothings gona be done, cuz all the lil ecto horders are happy?
but it was just funny to see how fast someone responded, also gona be funny to see how many views it gets.
prop be a few more by the time i submit this.
ps. devs feel free to close/delete.
i guess this also gos to show who dose not read all post before posting, fun stuff.

Agree.I used the daggers version alot to farm things that are too difficult to farm otherwise,in HM anyway, like afflicted and outcasts. Now I can't even outpace one healer even with a bonder hero that maintains strength and honour. Maybe make all other spells have longer recharge times under SF?

SF Nerf fails because we have players that know more about the game and skill synergy than the Dev's. What took the Dev's weeks to figure out was counterd in hours by a player.

I personally think that the most effective nerf, if it's going to come, would have to do with the PvE duration of Shadow Form. As an occasional Perma-Sin user, I know that the UW farm has been pretty darn easy. I also know A-Net doesn't MIND farmers. They simply consider it one particular playstyle among many--and they want those players to continue playing.
So, why not tighten the recharge on Shadow Form?
At 16 Shadow Arts, it lasts 32 seconds, recharges in 60 seconds. With Pardox/Swiftness, it was recharging in PLENTY of time to get recast...even if the farmer kinda stopped paying attention. So, a nerf in the duration could require the player to cut it reeeeeeeeaaaaaallllllly closely...Like, with Swiftness/Paradox, you might get the icon in the corner flashing...flashing...and just about dropping...before you get the next SF up.
A careless cast of Glyph or Paradox, a look away, a lag...and run's over.
This would have the effect of raising both ecto prices, and perhaps the other things that perma-sins farm--or at least slowing the free-fall prices a little.
I do think the price of ecto will be a concern to A-net, economically speaking, because it is such a commonly used "currency," and I do think we might see another tweak to UW, or to the skill.
The other possible nerf....alter the spawns of Obsidian Behemoths and their traps...make it MORE likely, somehow, that they block the doorways completely...instead of one run in 10 or 20...make it one run in 2 or 3. Make it maddeningly common, even. Reverse the pattern: the Behemoths USUALLY block one or both doorways completely, with only occasional gaps. Now we're back to slowly killing Aatxes.

All the nerf did was eliminate some of the riders you can kill. The actual run was unaffected. My dog could have come up with a more effective nerf.

which is the main point. that the nerf did hardly anything to the uw ran, yet cut down every other build with SF in it.
